Arik Air (www.arikair.com) the largest Nigerian based airline since 2002, needs no introduction to the travel market and consistently lives up to its slogan “wings of Africa”. Those looking to fly internationally to Lagos or between any Nigerian airports will find that Arik Air offers affordable travel, safely and conveniently.
The airline is one of Nigeria’s most recognised export brands, yet was also hardest hit by recent aviation fuel shortages experienced at Lagos and Abuja International Airports, in particular.
The introduction of a new mobile platform in 2013 enhanced traveller experience offering ease of access to special offers, bookings and online payment options. The Arik Affinity Wings frequent flyer programme can also be easily enrolled for online. Frequent flyers can earn miles on trips which can be converted to discounts and savings.
The airline, which is wholly owned and operated by Ojemai Investments, took over the old Nigeria Airways facilities in Lagos in April 2006. Starting out with a handful of domestic routes, Arik Air worked hard to earn its reputation in the industry and by early 2008 had added international routes to its schedule.
